Yazda would like to congratulate Ms. Farida Abbas for her engagement ceremony which was held, today in Germany.
Farida is a genocide survivor of ISIS enslavement, she was held in captivity for four months where she was subjected to unimaginable suffering including physical and mental abuse.
Since her escape, Farida has been an effective part of Yazda global advocacy campaign to bring ISIS to justice, raise awareness and bring international attention to the Genocide. So far, Farida has spoken in different meetings and events in UK, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, Lebanon, Belgium and Iraq.
Farida published her book, The Girls Who Beat ISIS, which has been published in more than 14 countries.
We at Yazda are so happy about this news which also marks a strong death signal to ISIS and a strong hope sign to our community that lives under an ongoing genocide since more than 3 years. Congratulations again and we wish you all the very best for your future life.
